Visual Storytelling

Visual storytelling is one of the highest forms of currency in today’s marketplace, journey with me as I share old and new works of mine.

JUNETEENTH

The celebration of Juneteenth marks the emancipation of last slaves in Galveston Bay, Texas. Although they were legally considered free, in many ways they were not free in practice. For over one hundred years following this declaration, Blacks continued to fight for the illusive, all-encompassing freedom.

In this short film, I wanted to highlight the thought leaders who pushed the boundary forward through their rhetoric. This production, for me, is a way to keep their voices alive and to remember how closely removed we are from those times.

SELFLOVE: Hair Care

Hair carries so much weight in the Black experience. I created this short as a nod to an experience many of us can resonate with. To do and maintain someone's (or your own) full, nappy head of hair is a form of love and I believe it should be viewed as such.

New York Fashion Week

Once upon a time, I did a little bit of modeling, LOL! In 2023, I had the opportunity to walk for

Allison Elizabeth Brown and Don Morphy in the Fashion Bomb Daily Fashion Show. Everything you do needs a reel or it didn't happen, right?

ZAMBIA

In 2023, I traveled with my church to capture the work we were and still are doing with World Vision in Zambia. The impact World Vision has on those communities is immense and I wanted to tell a story that reflected that work. Considering how African countries are traditionally portrayed in media, I did not take this responsibility lightly. I was intentional about telling a story of growth and prosperity within these communities.

EARTH Day

At the end of 2024, I took a cruise that traveled to several Carribean islands. This is a compilation of clips from my travel to showcase how beautiful this planet is.

MINE

A short I created at the beginning of the year highlighting all of the areas I wanted to claim as mine for 2025.
